PRC's signature event of the year, Mighty Real, inspired, enchanted, surprised, and delighted! We created an unforgettable experience right around the corner form PRC's Integrated Services Center at the Saint Joseph's Arts Society.

This fabulous evening, named after the signature song, “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real),” of our generous benefactor and disco legend Sylvester, was a celebration of transformation and human connection that raised essential funds for our programs that help more than 5,000 individuals each year to transform their lives for the better.

This year’s theme was transformation, and we curated the evening to showcase how PRC’s services transform our clients’ lives, the progress and growth we have experienced within PRC over the last year, and the power of human connection.

Speaking of transformation, the 2023 event was set inside the stunning Saint Joseph’s Arts Society, a former church transformed by designer Ken Fulk into a truly novel, unique, and extraordinary space in which our guests were transformed by a powerful, cathartic event experience.

Elevated Bites

Guests pleased their appetites with an array of delectable heavy appetizers, including a gourmet sushi bar and mouthwatering desserts.

Cocktails
Guests sipped on expertly crafted cocktails featuring our spirit sponsor, Tito's Handmade Vodka. Our mixologists crafted unique and exquisite cocktails, each one a masterpiece in itself, perfectly complementing the vibrant artistry of the venue.

Live Auction & Paddle Raise
A live auction featured the ever popular Dine Around Town experience, travel, and wine, all supporting PRC's transformative programs.

Awards Ceremony
Mighty Real wouldn't be complete without awards honoring exceptional individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to improving the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS, mental health, and/or substance use issues.

Joshua Gamson was honored with the Sylvester Community Pillar Award, named after PRC's patron saint and greatest benefactor. Joshua chronicled the life of Sylvester in The Fabulous Sylvester: The Legend, the Music, the Seventies in San Francisco and has researched, taught, and written extensively about social movements, popular culture, and gay and lesbian people.

San Francisco Pride was honored with the Keystone Service Award for their pioneering work in improving the quality of life for the people we serve. We’re proud to honor their dedication to creating a vibrant and inclusive community for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies. They show us all that – through dedication of spirit, hard work, and sheer determination – we can envision a brighter future.

Wells Fargo was honored with the Outstanding Corporate Partner Award for being instrumental in helping PRC to significantly advance its mission through their generous support of our housing initiatives and community events.

After Party

All guests were invited to extend the celebration with us by staying at Saint Joseph's for the after party. DOTCOM & THE NOISE, a groovy jazz ensemble boasting a lineup of keys, vocals, bass, guitar, sax, and drums will serenade guests with delightful musical jams. Among the talented members, Dotcom, a singer, songwriter, and the group's lead vocalist, is a valued client of PRC's.

All proceeds support PRC’s integrated services that help 5,000 clients annually transform their lives for the better.
